Frosty the SnowSaint

First let me start by saying, I know! I know it has been like 15 years since our last update.....I promise I will try to do better.

Next....... GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are so excited about the Super Bowl!

The picture above is from the Saints / Panthers game....did not turn out so great for the Saints but we had an awesome time!!

We had about 6 inches of snow this weekend so we were stuck inside. We were pretty bored, so we made a snowman! My first! Who knew you actually roll the snowball in the snow and it just keeps getting bigger! That being said, I present to you....Frosty the SnowSaint.

Hope all is well....

Here is a first....

Joey got a new grill for his brithday, and he has been wanting to grill pizzas. I have never really heard of putting a pizza on the grill....but we tried it out.
Not only were they so yummy... but we had so much fun making them! IF anyone wants to try it out, we have awesome recipe for the crust...(yes Joey made the dough!)

Summer

Summer is just not the same as an adult.....but thankfully, we have still had some awesome adventures! We started out the summer by taking a road trip to Mississippi. As usual, my mother wined and dined us.....She really spoils us when we are in Jackson. Thanks mom!
We have really enjoyed our garden....I have had so much fun with it! I have learned how to can, and have canned some fresh salsa and pickles! Next year we hope to have a really big garden!
Last weekend, we celebrated Joey's 32nd birthday in Cruso, NC on Cold Mountain. It was an incredible trip. We love the mountains and find ourselves constanly looking for a weekend to getaway. Our cabin was so cute and we will definetly go back to Cold Mountain.

The views were incredible! These pictures were taken from the front porch..

Happy Birthday Joey!!

If you look really closely...you can see the fish I caught at the end of the line. I was so proud!

We caught this super cute pict of the pups...had to share!

I hope everyone is well and enjoying their summer. Please drop us a note and let us know what is going on with all of you. Love and Miss!

4 became 3 ...

Yesterday was a sad day at our house....Buddy died. We found out that he had a very aggresive form of cancer...and he had to be put to sleep. Buddy was old...but it was so unexpected. We often referred to him as 'Buddy Button' as he seemed to only get younger. He was such a good dog....we will miss him so much. RIP Buddy....

Last week.....

Kiki, (our chow-mix) tore her ACL a few months ago...we were hoping it would heal on its own...but it didn't. SSOO... last Wednesday, she had ACL surgery. She has been so pitiful!! Here is a picture of her at her pre-op consult.

And these are her post-op picts....doesn't she look sad?? She is actually doing very well....just a little embarassed by the 'hair-cut'

My parents came in town last weekend......it rained the entire weekend, but we still had fun. Here we are at dinner.

We went to a wine tasting at Childress Vineyards...it was really nice and fun.

On Tuesday, we decided to plant some Leyland Cypress trees in our backyard. They grow very well in NC, and are great for privacy purposes. Somehow, those 9 little trees turned into a whole big landscaping challange. Before we realized what we were getting into, we were digging up the front yard!

The worst part was getting in between all these roots....

We were pleased with Phase 1. Who knows what phase II will consist of... but Im sure I will let yall know as soon as we do it!

Lastly, some of yall have been asking for some picts of how our floors turned out.....we are very happy with the results. What do you think??
